Kate Middleton: a natural beauty
Kate Middleton’s easy style and natural beauty have been praised the world over since she became the new Duchess of Cornwall this year. Here we showcase some of her favourite beauty products and share the secrets to achieving the look of a true English rose.
Kate Middleton: moisturiser
The Duchess of Cambridge buys pots of Nivea Pure & Natural Facial Moisturising Day Cream to keep her skin looking and feeling fresh and moisturised. At just £5.10, it’s clear the Duchess loves a beauty bargain and since she was spotted buying the product it has become a new beauty must-have. It not only has the tried and trusted Nivea skincare expertise behind it, but 95% of the ingredients are of natural origin. The range is free from parabens, silicones, colourants and mineral oils and the range contains ethically sourced and fair-trade argan oil from Morocco to make sure the princess looks good on the outside but feels good on the inside too.

Kate Middleton: face
Like many celebrities, Kate likes to use the ‘miracle’ make-up YSL’s Touche Eclat concealer pen to create her flawless look. The iconic gold pen brightens around the eyes and manages to erase fatigue – and a little goes a long way. Kate also uses it right under her brow to highlight her eyes as well. Queuing up alongside the likes of Victoria Beckham, Demi Moore and Julia Roberts to buy her perfection pen shows Kate is not only savvy when it comes to spending but knows what she’s doing when it comes to the latest trends too.
YSL Touche Eclat, £20.41, Debenhams
Kate Middleton: blusher
Bobbi Brown make up were proud to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge and her sister Pippa both used their make-up on Kate’s big day, and released copies of the face charts they used to recommend the Duchess’ ideal look. But as pictures of Kate show ever since, she now uses the high street brand every day in order to stay looking flawless and beautiful. The pale pink blush that Kate used on her cheeks really worked for her and complimented her natural complexion beautifully. It is also long lasting, so stays put through those long days of royal appointments.

Kate Middleton: bronzer
This bronzing product is a brush-on powder that helps Kate create a deep, bronzy glow after she applies her blusher. This colour really works well with neutral and deep blush shades, and gave her cheekbones a real shimmer on the day.
Shimmer Brick Compact, £30.50, Bobbi Brown
Kate Middleton: eye makeup
Again using Bobbi Brown products to create her perfect smoky eyes, Kate uses an ivory eye shadow to give her eyes a perfect base to which she can add other colours. The light colour hides any blemishes or dark spots so that not only does her eye makeup look even, it also lasts longer. The Rock Star colour really brings out the green of Kate’s eyes. Applied all over the lower lid of her eye, this is the main colour that is seen and help the eyes really stand out. It works well with the darker Slate eye colour she uses in the crease of her eye.
Kate Middleton: eyeliner and mascara
In her trademark look Kate uses Black Ink Long Wear Gel Eyeliner to give her eyes great definition – although she definitely needs a steady hand for that one! For an everyday mascara the Duchess apparently uses Lancome Hypnose, which not only make the eyelashes dense and thick, but also makes them look long. Perfect for fluttering her long lashes at Wills!
Hypnose mascara, £20.45, Lancome
Kate Middleton: lips
Sticking to the natural look, Kate prefers to accentuate her eyes and therefore opts for a pale lipstick and clear gloss. The Bobbi Brown Sandwashed Pink lip colour has long been a favourite of the Duchess, followed by a layer of Crystal lip gloss.
Sandwashed Pink lipstick, £16, Bobbi Brown
Kate Middleton: perfume
There is now a two-week waiting list for the £70 bottles of White Gardenia Petals by British brand Illuminum which Kate wore on her wedding day. But like many women Kate likes to wear the perfume everyday as a special reminder for her and her prince of the happiest day of their lives. Bottles of the scent sold out within moments of news breaking that the new Duchess of Cambridge had worn the perfume, which is described as a ‘delicate and nuanced scent’ with a top note of coconut and notes of muguet, ylang ylang and jasmine breeze,. ‘There’s been a phenomenal response across the world,’ said Illuminum spokesman Michael Donovan.
Kate Middleton: hair
With celebrity stylist James Pryce from London’s Richard Ward salon in charge of her luscious long locks Kate has put her hair in safe hands. However in-between appointments she needs to carefully look after the hair that every woman is envying right now. She loves Kerastase Hair Rituals (as recommended by her stylist) – the in-salon treatment range that can do anything from tame hair and define curls, to add volume and strengthen. At home she uses Kerastase shampoo and conditioner for dry hair to make sure her hair stays nourished despite all the do’s and styling it goes through on a daily basis.
Kate Middleton: nails
Before the wedding, Duchess Camilla took Kate to the Jo Hansford Salon in London, where gel nail artist Marina Sandoval helped Kate design the traditional pink-white nails. The product used by Marina is Bourjois Number 28 Rose Lounge and Essie Number 423 Allure. Now Kate opts for the same look as often as she can – especially when she has a long list of royal engagements to attend where she has to look picture perfect at every opportunity.
Allure nail colour, £9.95, Essie
Kate Middleton: skincare
To get her glowing complexion, Kate uses Karin Herzog skin care. ‘Ms Middleton uses the Professional Cleanser, the Vita-A-Kombi 1 and the Vita-A-Kombi 3 Spot Zapper,’ according to the brand’s UK managing director, Julie Cichocki.
Vita-A-Kombi 1 & Vita-A-Kombi 3 Spot Zapper, £50 & £21.50, Karin Herzog
