Prince William is believed to have attended a serious road accident which saw an injured motorcyclist taken to hospital after a crash with a BMW. The East Anglian Air Ambulance, which the Duke of Cambridge flies for, was called to the scene on the junction of Maldon Road and Post Office Road, near Danbury in Woodham Mortimer, on Tuesday evening (August 30). Paramedics treated a man who suffered a head injury. The man in his 20s was taken by land ambulance to Broomfield Hospital but he is not believed to be in a serious or life-threatening condition. Prince William combines his role as a pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance Trust with his royal duties on a part-time basis, and is one of 12 who respond to an average of five calls per day. Prince William and Kate Middleton will sign slates at Truro Cathedral and head to a surf school on the beach at Newquay during their two-day visit. The royals will be in Cornwall tomorrow before setting off for the Isles of Scilly on Friday. Over the two days, the couple will meet with local organisations, businesses and charities and visit several projects run by the Duchy of Cornwall. Their first stop-off tomorrow will be at Truro Cathedral, where they will sign a slate to support the cathedral's appeal to raise funds for roof repairs. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the YoungMinds Parents Helpline headquarters in Southwark on Thursday as part of their Heads Together campaign. The royal couple visited the offices of YoungMinds in Baden Place, off Crosby Row. YoungMinds is a charity which works to improve the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. The Parents Helpline is a free support network to advise parents who are concerned about their child. The helpline can assist with behavioural and emotional issues as well as mental health.
