“Meghan was totally taken with the children. She was playing with them, mucking around and did silly voices and impressions.

“She’s even asked to babysit, knowing Kate prefers to have family where possible to do so and not rely on nannies.

Harry joked: ‘It’s in his genes’.”

We can also reveal Harry, 32, is looking at America for his next Walking With The Wounded trek.

The former soldier, who joined the charity on its missions to the North Pole in 2011 and South Pole in 2013, is planning to hike across the US.

And he hopes Meghan, 35, will be at his side.

The couple first bonded over their passion for helping others.

Discussing her work with the UN Women organisation and World Vision in Rwanda and India, Meghan said: “I think being able to give back and do any sort of humanitarian work will make your life feel a lot more balanced.

“You realise where your priorities should be.”

Our source added: “It would mean everything to Harry if he could be joined in his charity work by the woman he loves – and a lovely link to Diana who lived for her humanitarian efforts.”
