‘Royal snub’ Lady Amelia Windsor ‘NOT INVITED’ to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding
LADY Amelia Windsor, who is 37th in line to the throne and Prince Harry’s own second-cousin, is “not invited” to the royal wedding on Saturday at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, according to reports.
The 22-year-old has been dubbed the “most beautiful royal” and has appeared on the cover of Tatler magazine in 2016, but she and her sister Marina appear to have been left off the exclusive guest list.
A friend commented on the issue, saying: “They were a little surprised not to be invited as they were looking forward to going.
“Amelia is creating quite a name for herself with her modelling and Instagram posts.
“Perhaps Harry just wanted to keep the family invited to a small number or maybe he didn’t want anyone upstaging the bride.”
The young royal has gained quite a name for herself over the past two years, walking in fashion shows for Dolce & Gabbana and being spotted on the front row at Paris Fashion Week.
She has also garnered a substantial social media following, with over 30,000 followers on Instagram.
The guest list has caused further controversy in recent weeks, after none of Meghan’s extended family were invited to her upcoming nuptials, opening up family divides.
In a letter written to Ms Meghan, her half-brother Thomas Markle Jr said: “It’s true that you and I have become ‘distant’ along with the rest of our family members over the years.

“But we are all still family.
“With all the memories of watching you grow up, it’s hurtful that you would forget about us.
“I know that I’m not perfect, nor is anyone else in our family, as I’m sure you have read by now. But good, bad, or perfect, we’re the only family that you have.
“We should all be there to show our love and support on your wedding day, because that’s what families do.”
While acknowledging that he has not seen Meghan since 2011, he said not being invited to the wedding “hurt his feelings”.
But he noted that it was “not too late to send an invite” and apologised for a previous letter in which he referred to the future royal as a “jaded, shallow and conceited woman”.
Despite reports from Mr Markle Jr, Meghan’s father will be attending the ceremony according to Kensington Palace, and is expected to walk her down the aisle.
St George’s Chapel has a capacity of 800 people, and around 600 have been invited to attend the ceremony itself, with over 2,640 members of the public also being invited to view the ceremony from the grounds of Windsor Castle.
