Prince Harry SECRETLY introduces Meghan Markle to ‘very significant person’ in his life
PRINCE Harry has secretly introduced his future wife Meghan Markle to a “very significant person” in his life following the couple’s visit to Cardiff on Thursday, it has been revealed.
Tiggy Legge-Bourke took the role of the ginger royal’s motherly figure after the death of Princess Diana in 1997 – Harry was only 12 when he was told of the tragic loss.
A source said that the prince “couldn’t wait” to introduce his former nanny to Meghan Markle.
They said: “Harry couldn’t wait to introduce Meghan to Tiggy.”
They also told The Sun: “Although the two women are very different, they got on famously.
“She’s a very significant person in Harry’s life, almost like a mother-figure, as she looked after Harry when Princess Diana died.”
Penny Junor, a royal biographer, reiterated the importance of Prince Harry’s ex-nanny during his early life.
She declared: “Tiggy is a very, very significant person in Harry’s life.
“They were kindred spirits and she was really good fun.”
Ms Legge-Bourke now lives on Glanusk Estate and a mere 40 mile trip from Cardiff.
During the visit to the Welsh capital, Meghan Markle broke royal protocol where she signed autographs, took selfies and allowed members of the public to kiss her.
While the Royals are known for following protocol, sometimes keeping their distance from the public, Meghan took a very different approach.
The actress was seen signing autographs – something the royals never do – as well getting rather more touchy-feely with the public than most of those connected to the royal family do.
The Queen is often happy to shake hands with members of the public, while Kate reportedly carries a clutch bag with both hands to avoid the gesture.
Meghan appeared happy to hold hands with people in the crowds gathered at the castle, as well as allowing one man to kiss her hand.
The actress was captured signing an autograph for a girl in the crowd.
The Royals are said to not be allowed to sign autographs, supposedly as part of an anti-fraud policy.
