Kate Middleton is one of those women with an effortless glow about them, and on Monday she upped it a few notches further, with some help from a sparkling, champagne-hued dress (below). Middleton joined her husband, Prince William and Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace for a celebration of Indian culture, hosting the event along with the Queen to mark the launch of U.K.-India Year of Culture 2017. The Year of Culture is celebrating the ties between the U.K. and India, as well as fêting the 70th anniversary of Indian independence. The dress, made by British designer Erdem, reminded us of a more casual version of Oscar-nominee Isabelle Huppert's gown from last night's Academy Awards, and we're loving it. Middleton paired the mid-length silhouette with earrings from Indian designer Anit

For the royals, social media platforms are becoming a huge success.

Queen Elizabeth
The Queen almost never takes to Twitter personally – just twice, it seems – but for her aides, social media has become as important as the walkabout, the garden party and her Christmas broadcast in promoting the monarchy brand. Buckingham Palace and Prince Charles at Clarence House have recently advertised for digital communications officers to sustain their online presence and keep the royal palaces at the forefront of new technology. Forget the court circular tucked away in “establishment” newspapers. Today’s announcements, and reports of audiences and ambassadorial hand-kissing, land in the Twitter feeds and Instagram timelines of followers almost before bowing guests have departed Her Majesty’s white drawing room. Images are swiftly pinged out into cyberspace – and without the someti

All About Princess Margaret’s Lotus Flower Tiara That Is Now Worn by Princess Kate The sparkling Lotus Flower Tiara has graced the heads of several generations of royal women. The crown jewel that palace insiders say was loaned to Princess Kate by Queen Elizabeth from her collection dates back to the Queen’s mother in the 1920s. “It’s a beautiful pearl and diamond piece,” expert Leslie Field, author of The Queen’s Jewels, says about the Egyptian-style tiara, which was also previously owned and worn by the Queen’s late sister, Princess Margaret, who died 15 years ago today. The Queen Mother gave it to her second daughter, Margaret, in 1959, right before she married Antony Armstrong-Jones (the Earl of Snowdon who died in January), and the sparkler soon became associated with the glam
